Britt Fabello

Britt Fabello

Britt Fabello is an artist living and working in central Massachusetts. After studying at the University of Southern Maine and Montserrat College of Art, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Since graduating in 2012, she has developed a practice focused on textural hand-sewn pieces. Fabello recently called London home for five years and used it extensively as a travel base, finding her key sources of inspiration. While exploring themes in nature and the human spirit, her art aims to unite the unseen energy created through and around us with the tactile world.

The Work

As a natural observer, my work is a direct response to my surroundings. With an emphasis on the handmade, material quality, the natural forms come through using a mix of geometric and organic compositions. By abstracting natural structures and architectural inspirations, each piece captures time and movement pulling from a memory linked to a specific place. The simple neutral colors and soft textures create hope for a harmonious society which inspires us to care for each other and our natural environment.
